The Comprehensive Social Security Assistance caseload stood at 250,436 in April, with a total of 376,990 recipients, a 0.3% drop compared to March, the Social Welfare Department said today.
Unemployment cases dipped 0.8% to 17,870, and low-earnings cases fell 1.7% to 7,181.
Old age cases decreased 0.3% to 148,262, while ill health cases dropped 0.1% to 24,739.
Permanent disability cases remained steady at 18,216.
Single parent cases showed a slight increase of 0.1% to 29,317.
