The Centre for Health Protection today reminded the public that seniors can receive a free Southern Hemisphere seasonal influenza vaccination from tomorrow, under the Government Vaccination Programme, at 18 designated health centres. Those aged 85 or above will be given priority.
They should bring their identity card and vaccination record for verification, as well as details of any significant medical problems, allergies, a contact telephone number and address for record purposes.
The centre will closely monitor the progress of the programme and consider expanding it to cover more elderly people.
