The Centre for Health Protection is investigating a case of Legionnaires' disease in which a 67-year-old man died.
The patient, with underlying diseases, fell ill with fever, cough and sore throat on February 19. He lost consciousness on the street yesterday and was admitted to Tuen Mun Hospital. His condition deteriorated and died today.
Tests revealed he was suffering from Legionnaires' disease.
The patient lived alone with no recent travel history.
His is the seventh case reported this year. There were 41 cases last year and 28 cases in 2013.
