The Department of Health is monitoring 11 new Middle East Respiratory Syndrome cases in Saudi Arabia, including four deaths.
The patients, aged 28 to 79, include eight men and three women. One had frequent contact with camels and two had contact with previously confirmed patients.
To date, 938 laboratory-confirmed MERS cases have been reported to the World Health Organisation globally, including at least 343 deaths.
Travel agents organising tours to the Middle East are advised not to arrange camel rides or activities involving the animals, which may increase the risk of infection.
