The new "This is Hong Kong" mobile app is available for free download, providing users with a comprehensive insight into the city's unique features.
The app showcases what makes Hong Kong such a cosmopolitan, dynamic, diverse and secure place that is highly connected to the rest of Asia and the world.
Users can find out about Hong Kong's latest achievements in science, business and sport, as well as its natural attractions. The app also provides information about Hong Kong festivals, its heritage and creativity and includes snapshots of world renowned Hong Kongers in various fields, plus surprising trivia.
The augmented reality function will show a pop-up when users come within 300 metres of places of interest. Another click will bring up information on that particular place.
The app is available for iPhones, iPads, Android phones and tablets for free. There is also an Internet version.
