The overall Comprehensive Social Security Assistance caseload in October fell 0.3% on September, the Social Welfare Department said today.
The social security caseload stood at 254,773, with a total of 383,377 recipients.
Low earnings cases registered a month-to-month decrease of 2.8% to 7,802.
Single-parent and ill-health cases fell 0.7% and 0.5% to 29,774 and 25,007.
Unemployment and permanent disability cases dropped 0.3% and 0.2% to 19,336 cases and 18,282.
Old age cases fell 0.1% to 149,470.
