The monthly ovitrap index for October dropped to 2.2% from 3.9% in September.
The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department said that among the 44 areas surveyed last month, positive ovitrap indices were recorded in 27 of them, ranging from 1.7% to 11.8%, with the highest level in Diamond Hill.
For port areas the monthly ovitrap index for October fell to 0.1% from 0.3% in September.
The ovitrap indices reflect the prevalence of Aedes albopictus, a mosquito vector for Dengue fever transmission.
