18 pools heated all winter

Heated swimming facilities will be provided all winter at 18 public swimming pools, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department announced today.

 

Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park, Morrison Hill, Island East, Siu Sai Wan, Lai Chi Kok Park, Kowloon Park, Tai Kok Tsui, Ho Man Tin, Hammer Hill Road, Lam Tin, Tung Chung, Tuen Mun North West, Yuen Long, Ping Shan Tin Shui Wai, Shing Mun Valley, Sha Tin Jockey Club, Hin Tin, and Tseung Kwan O swimming pools will be heated from November 1 to March 31.

 

Six other heated pools will be closed during certain periods in winter for annual maintenance. They are Kwun Tong, Wan Chai, Sham Shui Po Park, Tuen Mun, Victoria Park, and Fanling pools.

 

Two unheated pools, Kennedy Town and Kowloon Tsai, will open from 6.30am to noon daily in November.
