The Hong Kong Open Badminton Championships will be held from November 18 to 23 at the Hong Kong Coliseum, featuring top international players.
Speaking at a press conference today, Major Sports Events Committee Vice-Chairman Terry Smith congratulated the Hong Kong Badminton Association for bringing the spectacular event to Hong Kong, which showcases the city’s ability to host large-scale international sports competitions and enhances its profile as a major sports events centre in Asia.
The committee has awarded "M" Mark status to the event for 10 consecutive years.
The tournament is sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation and the total prize money is US$350,000.
