UN to hear HK women's rights report

Permanent Secretary for Labour & Welfare Annie Tam will lead a delegation to the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women hearing in Geneva on October 23.

 

The team will explain to the UN committee Hong Kong's third report under the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women and answer the committee's questions on the implementation of the convention here.

 

The nine-member team will include Women's Commission Chairperson Stella Lau, and representatives from the Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Bureau, Department of Justice, Labour Department and Social Welfare Department.
