Lunar New Year stalls to be sold

Stalls at the 2015 Lunar New Year fairs will be put up for open auction from November 3, the Food & Environmental Hygiene Department announced today.

 

The fairs will be held at 15 locations from February 13 to 19. A total of 1,164 wet goods stalls, 847 dry goods stalls, eight thematic stalls and 17 fast food stalls will be auctioned.

 

Opening prices will range from $560 to $9,590 for wet goods stalls, $660 to $12,550 for dry goods stalls, and $6,720 to $330,650 for fast food stalls.

 

Eight thematic stalls will be set up in the Victoria Park for selling festive commodities and the opening price will be $36,740.

 

Six fairs on Hong Kong Island, in Islands District and in Kowloon will be located at Victoria Park, Tung Chung Soccer Pitch, Fa Hui Park, Cheung Sha Wan Playground, Morse Park and Hong Ning Road Recreation Ground. Auctions for these stalls will be held at Queen Elizabeth Stadium from November 3 to 5 and from November 10 to 13.

 

In the New Territories, nine fairs will be held in Tsuen Wan, Kwai Tsing, Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, North District, Tai Po, Sha Tin, Sai Kung and Tseung Kwan O. Auctions for these stalls will be held on November 18, 19, 21, 24, 25 and 28, and December 2 and 3.
