The Vaccination Subsidy Schemes 2014-15 campaign will start on October 6 to promote seasonal influenza vaccination.
Briefing reporters on the campaign today, Centre for Health Protection Controller Dr Leung Ting-hung said there are two vaccination programmes in the scheme.
The first is the Government's vaccination subsidy schemes for childhood and elderly influenza shots.
Children aged six months to less than six years old, and people aged 65 years or more, can receive subsidised vaccinations from doctors enrolled in the Government's vaccination subsidy schemes, from October 6.
The subsidy in the coming year will rise from $130 to $160.
Another plan is the Government Vaccination Programme, which will start on November 3, providing free influenza vaccination and pneumococcal vaccinations to eligible groups via public clinics and hospitals.
