The Centre for Health Protection is investigating a case of Legionnaires' disease involving a 77-year-old woman who is in stable condition.
She fell ill on August 18 and was admitted to Queen Mary Hospital on August 27.
She was later transferred to Tung Wah Hospital on August 30 for further management.
Tests revealed that she was suffering from Legionnaire's disease.
This is the 31st case of the disease reported to health authorities this year. There were 28 cases both in 2012 and 2013.
