The rent for the new Shui Chuen O Estate in Sha Tin is set at $68.40 per square metre per month, the Housing Authority announced today.
There are five non-standard blocks in the estate, providing 3,039 flats.
The authority said rents for public rental housing, which are inclusive of rates, management and maintenance costs, are heavily subsidised.
Those who cannot afford the rents can apply for assistance.
