Local farmers who suffered losses due to Typhoon Kalmaegi can register with the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department from September 17 to 25 for assistance from an emergency relief fund.

The department's preliminary investigation found the typhoon had affected about 300 hectares of New Territories farmland.

Applicants should register at the office of the department's Agricultural Development Division, 5/F Yuen Long Government Offices, Yuen Long, or call 2476 2424 for enquiries.
