Live Mid-Autumn chicken possible

September 02, 2014

The supply of Mainland live poultry can resume before the Mid-Autumn Festival, pending formal notification from Mainland authorities.

Speaking to the media after attending a tobacco control conference today, Secretary for Food & Health Dr Ko Wing-man said the Government has been liaising with Mainland authorities on the poultry issue and preparatory work is underway.

On tobacco control, he said the Department of Health will reduce smoking prevalence through legislation and by promoting awareness.
