The Centre for Health Protection is considering adding Congo to its Ebola surveillance list.

Secretary for Food & Health Dr Ko Wing-man told reporters today that Congo has emerged as another centre of infection after some positive cases were confirmed among 600 reported cases of symptoms.

Although the Congo strain is different from that in the West Africa outbreak, he said it is likely visitors from the country will be given health advice when they arrive in Hong Kong.
