Five food samples collected last month have failed Centre for Food Safety tests.
Releasing the findings of its June food safety report today, the centre said it tested 10,900 food samples, seeing an overall satisfactory rate of 99.9%.
A ‘lo shui’ cuttlefish sample was found to contain Salmonella, a milk sample was found to contain milk fat less than the legal requirement, and a rice vermicelli sample was found to contain preservative sulphur dioxide exceeding the legal limit which was not listed on its label.
Sulphur dioxide was also found in a fresh beef sample, and a beverage contained brominated vegetable oil.
