The Department of Health is investigating two suspected local cases of MERS, or Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, affecting a 34-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman.
The man arrived in Hong Kong from Pakistan via Dubai today, and was found to have a fever at the airport.
The woman arrived in Hong Kong from Paris via Dubai on July 26, and fell ill yesterday.
The two were admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital today. Both are stable.
Another suspected local case of MERS reported yesterday, involving a two-year-old boy, tested negative for the disease. He travelled from Dubai to Hong Kong on July 23.
No cases of the disease have been confirmed in Hong Kong.
