More than 10,000 smart cards have been issued as public swimming pool monthly tickets in the year since the concept was introduced, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department says.
The card contains the holder’s portrait and is preloaded with validity period and concession eligibility information, making swimming easier and more convenient.
The smart cards are also reusable as validity information is updated when holders purchase a new monthly ticket.
The monthly ticket costs $300 a month, while seniors, the disabled, children and students enjoy half price.
