Secretary for Food & Health Dr Ko Wing-man began his duty visit to London yesterday.
He met Chair of the General Medical Council Prof Sir Peter Rubin, then called on the Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency’s Chairman Sir Gordon Duff to discuss regulatory control of advanced therapy medicinal products, medical devices and medical advertisements.
He later visited the Royal Botanic Gardens and its Chinese Medicinal Plants Authentication Centre, which offers an authentication service for Chinese herbs currently available on the international market.
Dr Ko will go to Geneva on May 18 to attend the World Health Organisation 67th World Health Assembly.
