The Department of Health is closely monitoring an additional case of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome reported to the World Health Organisation by Jordan.
The patient, a 52-year-old man with underlying illnesses, visited Saudi Arabia before falling ill.
This brings the latest global number of confirmed cases of the disease to 212, including 88 deaths.
