Forty-three schools and kindergartens were commended today for their meritorious green projects and contribution to environmental greening.
Speaking at the prize-presentation ceremony today, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department 's Chief Leisure Manager (Green Campaign) Horace Cheung said the number of participating schools had increased from around 300 in 2000 to more than 850 this year.
Mr Cheung said the green projects' standard was also on the rise. Both teachers and students had worked hard to make their school's environment greener and more beautiful.
