Woman arrested for prescription drug sale

A 26-year-old woman was arrested today in Cheung Sha Wan for the illegal sale of Diane 35, a medicine containing Part I poisons, which can only be sold under supervision of a registered pharmacist, and with a doctor's prescription.
 
Police and Department of Health officers found the product being offered for sale on an Internet auction site, and arrested the woman.
 
Diane 35 is indicated for the treatment of severe acne caused by excessive androgen in women.
 
The product is a prescription drug which should only be used under the direction of a medical practitioner.
