The Social Welfare Department today invited tenderers for appointment as a department agent for the new Guangdong Scheme under the Social Security Allowance Scheme.
The Guangdong Scheme allows Hong Kong elderly residing in Guangdong to receive a full-year Old Age Allowance without the need to return to Hong Kong each year.
To support the scheme participants in Guangdong, the department will appoint an agent to help them complete the case review procedures required for receiving the allowance continuously.
All applicants for the Guangdong Scheme are supposed to complete the application procedure in person in Hong Kong. The agent will help those unfit to travel back to Hong Kong.
Tenders should be sent to the Government Secretariat Tender Box on the G/F East Wing, Central Government Offices, Tamar, Hong Kong by August 24.
