More Mainlanders booking obstetrics
February 07, 2012
January saw 179 births by non-local mothers via accident and emergency departments in Hong Kong public hospitals.
The Hospital Authority said today 22 of them were booked cases, representing a 108% increase on January, 2011.
It said it is dangerous to both the mother and the baby to rush to A&E departments at the last minute to deliver.
It appealed to pregnant non-locals to make proper and appropriate delivery arrangements for the well-being of themselves and their babies.
