Financial Secretary Paul Chan has started his Wuhan visit by meeting Hubei Province Executive Vice Governor Huang Chuping.
Arriving in Wuhan this morning, Mr Chan met Mr Huang to discuss strengthening co-operation between their jurisdictions.
Mr Chan inspected Hong Kong-invested projects in Wuhan and met Hong Kong people working and doing business there.
He opened the "Together • Progress • Opportunity - Roving Exhibition in Celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Return of Hong Kong to the Motherland" event at the Hubei Provincial Museum.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Chan said Hong Kong has achieved significant progress in economic and social development, and in improving people's livelihood.
He added Hong Kong will continue to make the best use of the unique advantages of "one country, two systems" to seize future opportunities.
He also officiated at the Gala Dinner in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
He said the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in Wuhan will continue to enhance and strengthen exchanges between Hong Kong and Hubei.
