Financial Secretary Paul Chan attended the Group of 20 Leaders’ Summit in Hamburg yesterday.
He attended the summit as part of the People’s Republic of China delegation.
The summit’s theme this year is "Shaping an Interconnected World".
Participants will discuss a wide range of issues, such as promoting the sustainable development of the global economy, driving economic growth through digitalisation, and combating terrorist financing and money laundering.
On July 6 Mr Chan held a meeting with State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry of Finance Dr Thomas Steffen to discuss the global economic outlook.
Mr Chan will continue to take part in the summit today. He will also meet Italian Minister of Economy & Finance Pier Carlo Padoan.
He will return to Hong Kong on Monday.
