Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Edward Yau says Hong Kong's economic development needs a fresh impetus to promote economic growth.
Speaking to the media after today's Legislative Council meeting, he said the scope of his work covers a wide range of issues spanning the economy and trade, industry development, and communications and broadcasting policies.
He said new momentum is needed for the city’s economy to benefit both the business sector and the public amid recent slow economic growth.
The Government will handle public concerns in a cross-bureau manner and he will listen to public views and meet with various stakeholders, he added.
On TVB’s schedule change regarding RTHK programme Headliner, Mr Yau said the Communications Authority will investigate the matter having received more than 130 complaints.
