The newly declared 2017-18 Valuation List & Government Rent Roll will be available from March 20 to May 31.
They can be inspected at the Rating & Valuation Department at the Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices, 15/F, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kowloon, and are also available online.
Proposals objecting to the new rateable values should be made on the specified form (R20A) or an electronic form (e-R20A). Faxes are not accepted, and completed forms should reach the department by May 31.
In the 2017-18 Budget Speech, the Financial Secretary announced the waiving of rates for 2017-18, subject to a ceiling of $1,000 per quarter for each rateable tenement.
Rates and government rent demands to be issued in early April will show the revised rateable values for 2017-18 and the amount payable.
