Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So today attended the concluding plenary session of the Environmental Goods Agreement Ministerial Meeting in Geneva, Switzerland.

 

The meeting was held to negotiate the agreement which aims at liberalising tariffs on a wide range of environmental goods.

 

Mr So said Hong Kong as a supporter of free trade, supports all constructive efforts to achieve reduction of tariffs on environmental goods and looks forward to the early conclusion of the negotiation.

 

Hong Kong's export trade will benefit from the reduction of tariffs on environmental goods by its trading partners upon the implementation of the agreement.
