Gregory So to visit Europe

Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So will visit Switzerland and Ireland from December 3 to 7.

 

He will attend the Environmental Goods Agreement Ministerial Meeting in Geneva.

 

Hong Kong is among the World Trade Organisation members participating in the negotiation for the agreement, which aims to eliminate tariffs on a wide range of environmental goods.

 

He will then go to Bern to call on the Chinese Embassy.

 

He will also call on Chinese Embassy in Dublin and meet with Irish government officials and representatives of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and the city's Hong Kong community.

 

Under Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Godfrey Leung will be Acting Secretary during Mr So's absence.
