Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Office Director Wang Guangya has affirmed the work of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in the finance field.
Financial Secretary John Tsang made the statement in Beijing today.
He said, at their meeting yesterday, Mr Wang lauded the HKSAR Government's efforts in keeping Hong Kong’s finances on a steady course.
Mr Tsang reiterated that his Beijing visit is a regular business trip to meet various ministries and commissions to review their work with Hong Kong over the past year.
He will visit the Ministry of Finance this afternoon and call on the China Securities Regulatory Commission and the Ministry of Commerce tomorrow to conclude his visit to the capital.
