Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Prof KC Chan visited Kwai Tsing today to learn more about the latest developments in the district and met with members of the District Council.
Prof Chan first visited Ching Kwai Centre at Cheung Ching Estate where he was briefed on its various services, including health assessments, nurse consultation, Chinese medicine clinics, exercise and rehabilitation programmes.
He then visited the Institute of Vocational Education (Tsing Yi), touring its Robocon Workshop that provides a teaching venue and game field for students to design and build robots to enter the Robocon Hong Kong Contest.
He also toured the institute's Aviation Centre, the first dedicated cabin mock-up in a Hong Kong tertiary institution to support practical training for students taking courses on customer services for aviation and passenger transport.
Concluding the visit, Prof Chan met with Kwai Tsing District Councillors to exchange views on district issues, including District Council funding and banking services.
