The Government recorded a $6.85 billion deficit in August, the Financial Services & the Treasury Bureau announced today.
It saw expenditure of $35.52 billion and revenues of $28.67 billion during the month.
Government expenditure for the five months ending August 31 amounted to $180.6 billion, with revenues of $132.6 billion, bringing the cumulative year-to-date deficit to $48 billion.
Fiscal reserves stood at $794.9 billion as of August 31.
