Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So today attended a series of events in Dalian to promote Hong Kong's priority industries and culture as well as its trendy and creative products.
The events were under the Savouring Hong Kong.Liaoning 2016 programme co-hosted by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the People's Government of Liaoning Province.
Speaking at the events' opening ceremony Mr So said the HKSAR Government and the Hong Kong Tourism Board have created the Taste of Hong Kong exhibition. It showcases Hong Kong's food culture to Dalian people in an innovative, interactive and diversified way.
Mr So also met Liaoning Vice-Governor Bing Zhigang and attended a business seminar organised by the HKSAR Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, in which two Hong Kong marketing experts shared their views on how to use Internet thinking to reshape the positioning of enterprises and tap the business opportunities under the Belt & Road Initiative.
Mr So will visit the Dalian Hi-tech Industrial Zone later today. He will also open the 5th Hong Kong Thematic Film Festival.
