Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So, will visit Guangzhou and Dalian from August 24 to 27 to attend the 11th Pan-Pearl River Delta Regional Co-operation and Development Forum and Trade Fair and "Savouring Hong Kong．Liaoning 2016" events.
Mr So will lead the delegation to attend the PPRD Forum in Guangzhou on August 24 and 25, including a welcome dinner, a keynote forum and a business luncheon.
On August 26, Mr So will meet with leaders of Liaoning Province and the Dalian Municipal Government and officiate at the opening ceremony of "Savouring Hong Kong．Liaoning 2016" and "2016 Hong Kong Trendy Expo, Dalian", as well as "Dalian + Hong Kong Brand Festival".
He will attend a business seminar co-organised by the Hong Kong Special Adminstrative Region Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and visit the Dalian Hi-tech Industrial Zone in the afternoon.
In the evening, he will attend the opening ceremony for the 5th Hong Kong Thematic Film Festival co-organised by the Office of the Government of the HKSAR in Beijing, the Liaoning Liaison Unit and Broadway Cinematheque in selected Mainland cities.
Under Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Godfrey Leung will be Acting Secretary during Mr So's absence.
