The Financial Secretary has appointed Roy Chung as the Mandatory Provident Fund Industry Schemes Committee Chairman, the Government announced today.
The committee will also be joined by three new members while seven incumbent members will stay. All appointments will take effect from August 25 for two years.
Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Prof KC Chan said he was delighted that the appointments and re-appointments are accepted.
He noted Mr Chung has been active in public service over the years. He has been a member of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Advisory Committee since 2013, providing recommendations to improve the fund system’s efficiency and the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority’s operation.
He also paid tribute to outgoing chairlady Li Fung-ying and outgoing members Chan Sam-choi, Chan Wing-on and Monica Ng, for their contributions.
