Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So today launched the All Shopping HK scheme to stimulate consumer spending.
The one-month campaign will offer gifts to people making purchases at designated shops.
Noting retail sales are still quite weak after falling in the first five months of this year, he said he hopes the scheme simulates demand for Hong Kong goods and services.
"We see that Brexit will introduce further uncertainty into the global economic climate. We will be monitoring the situation very closely," he added.
