Financial Secretary John Tsang left for the US today before heading to Peru to attend the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group annual meetings.
Speaking to reporters at the airport, Mr Tsang said he will meet US officials to discuss the latest global economic situation.
He said he will attend the meetings in Peru as a member of the Chinese delegation, and meet with other participating officials.
In response to a reporter’s question on the local property market, Mr Tsang said it is the Government’s policy to maintain stable development and it will remain so.
