The Government recorded a $11.3 billion deficit in June, the Financial Services & the Treasury Bureau reported today.
Government expenditure for the three months ending June 30 amounted to $99.4 billion, with revenues of $72.9 billion.
The deficit was mainly because major types of revenue, including salaries and profits taxes, are mostly received towards the end of the financial year.
Fiscal reserves stood at $802 billion as at June 30.
