The Land Registry recorded 7,993 sale and purchase agreements for all building units in June, up 16.9% on May and 8% year-on-year.
The 12-month moving average for July was 7,578, which was 0.7% above the 12-month moving average for May and 38.6% above that for June 2014.
The total consideration for sale and purchase agreements in June was $59.7 billion, up 22.6% on May and 24.5% on with June 2014.
Among the sale and purchase agreements, 5,776 were for residential units, up 11.8% on the previous month but down 3.1% compared with June 2014.
The total consideration for residential units was $43.2 billion, 7.6% more than May and 27.6% more than June 2014.
The public made 437,906 land register searches during the month.
