The Government is supportive of a proposal to build a new shopping mall near the boundary to create more capacity to receive tourists, Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So says.

Speaking to reporters today, Mr So said the Government will try to facilitate the proposal, but its proponents must follow established procedures.

Mr So noted that he and other officials had met the project's proponents earlier to provide them with the information needed to take the project forward.
