Hong Kong and Korea have signed a memorandum of understanding on intellectual property co-operation.
The memorandum provides a framework to facilitate co-operation between Hong Kong and Korea in the areas of intellectual property, including information exchange and experience, personnel training, and promotion of intellectual property trading.
Director of Intellectual Property Ada Leung and Korean Intellectual Property Office Commissioner Kim Young-min signed the memorandum today.
Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development, and Chairman of the Working Group on Intellectual Property Trading, Gregory So attended the signing ceremony.
He said it marks an important milestone in intellectual property co-operation between the two places.
The collaboration will inspire more joint intellectual property undertakings and drive the growth of intellectual property trading in Hong Kong and Korea, he added.
