Gregory So meets officials in Japan

Courtesy call:  Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So (left) pays a visit to Chinese Ambassador to Japan Cheng Yonghua.

Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So has met officials and Hong Kong citizens in Japan.

 

He met with Japan State Minister of Economy, Trade & Industry Yosuke Takagi to discuss bilateral trade and economic issues, including the use of Hong Kong as a platform for Japanese small and medium- sized enterprises to tap into the Mainland market.

 

The commerce chief also paid a courtesy call on the Chinese Ambassador to Japan Cheng Yonghua.

 

Mr So will visit Knowledge Capital in Osaka to learn about its experience as a centre for nurturing knowledge creation activities. He will also attend a gathering with Hong Kong residents staying in Kansai.

 

He is scheduled to address the "Think Global, Think Hong Kong" symposium tomorrow.
