Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So today visited the 13th Hong Kong International Licensing Show and the 41st Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair.

He met with exhibitors and was briefed on market developments in the licensing industry and toy sales.

He discussed Hong Kong’s advantages as a super-connector for businessmen around the world and development opportunities in the two industries.

"The concurrent organisation of the Hong Kong International Licensing Show and the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair creates a synergy effect, facilitating licensing industry representatives from different parts of the world to tap business opportunities with suppliers, buyers and professional intermediaries,” Mr So said.

"The Government will continue to enhance Hong Kong's position as an international MICE (meetings, incentive travels, conventions and exhibitions) capital and attract major global MICE events to Hong Kong."

The licensing show, with over 310 enterprises participating, is one of the few large-scale licensing exhibitions in Asia.

The toy fair is the largest event of its kind in Asia and ranks second in the world in terms of scale, with around 2,000 exhibitors.
