The Census & Statistics Department will conduct another round of the Quarterly Survey of Employment & Vacancies from January 2.
It will collect end-of-December data on employment and vacancies in major industry sections.
It covers about 28,000 establishments which are drawn from industrial, services and retail sectors.
Selected establishments must submit information on the number of staff, vacancies and its characteristics.
The survey is conducted quarterly and the results will serve as short-term economic indicators and provide information on the latest changes in the labour market.
