The total gross value of construction works main contractors performed in the third quarter increased 15.0% in nominal terms over a year earlier to $47.9 billion, the Census & Statistics Department announced today.
After discounting the effect of price changes, the total gross value rose 9.5% in real terms.
The gross value of construction works performed at private-sector sites totalled $13.1 billion, up 10.6% in nominal terms and 1.7% in real terms.
For public sector sites, the value increased 18.4% in nominal terms to $16.3 billion. In real terms it increased 13.9%.
