Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So welcomed today the passage of a resolution at the Legislative Council to set up the new Innovation & Technology Bureau.

He told reporters the formation of the new bureau is supported by the trade and also members of the Legislative Council.

Mr So said the next step is to seek funding approval from the Finance Committee, adding that he hopes members can co-operate and finish examining the proposals quickly.
