The volume of Hong Kong's total goods exports increased 5.2% year-on-year in August, the Census & Statistics Department announced today.
The volume of goods re-exports grew 5.2% compared to the same period last year, while that of domestic exports increased 10.4%.
Concurrently, the volume of goods imports grew 2.3%.
For the first eight months of this year, the volume of goods re-exports increased 2.9% year-on-year, while that of domestic exports rose 8.7%.
Taken together, the volume of total goods exports increased 3%, while the volume of goods imports grew 2.9%.
